This Hotel does not accept AMEX Casa Aldomar is a delightful small boutique hotel with just four lovely guestrooms in a newly restored 18th century house in the heart of the old quarter of Xativa. The house retains much of its original character as a silk weaver's house, with its 18th century fireplace, beams and ceiling (dating from the reconstruction of Xativa after the city was burnt by Felipe V in 1707). The four rooms guestrooms are located on the second and third floors. The air conditioned rooms are decorated in a fresh, clean style with neutral colours, white shutters, wood and terra cotta tile - perfect for this sunny place. Each room has its own well-equipped bathroom. The rooms have no television but offer complimentary wifi. There is a spacious patio creating a peaceful green oasis where you can relax after exploring the city’s medieval streets and mountain-top castle. This is an informal relaxing place to stay in the heart of the prettiest part of Xativa. The town itself is fascinating with its ancient history of Iberians, Carthaginians, Romans and Moors - all of whom have left architectural and cultural traces. Just breakfast is served at Casa Aldomar, but there are many restaurants in the vicinity.

Notes One of the prettiest of Valencia's inland medieval villages, Bocairent is just half an hour's drive from Xativa. The small town of Cocentaina, with its newly restored Count´s Palace, Moorish tower and well preserved Moorish quarter, is also worth visiting and can be reached in 40 minutes. Xativa is an ideal base to explore countryside, hike and go horse riding or even take a balloon trip. There are a number of sports events held throughout the year, including a half marathon, road bike races and a popular fun run up to the castle and back. Within minutes of Casa Aldomar there are many walking trails - some that skirt the castle and others that pass orange groves before descending into the neighbouring valley of Bixquert. The friendly staff at Casa Aldomar can provide you with routes to local hermitages, prehistoric caves and moorish ruins. Near the Júcar Valley, Ayora Valley and the Sierra de Mariola Natural Park there are several trails that suit all levels of experience.
