This delightful twelve-room hotel is situated in Vejer de la Frontera (on the stretch of coast between Cadiz and Algeciras). Vejer de la Frontera was declared a site of great historic and artistic interest in 1976, and is considered one of the most beautiful villages in Andalusia. In the centre of the town, this little inn is in a building that once housed an apothecary's shop on the ground floor - which is the meaning of La Botica, and the rooms surround a central sunny patio. The rooms are bright, comfortable (and non-smoking) and have full private bathrooms. The decor is typically Andalucian with bright colours, wood furniture, white walls and tile floors - charming and appropriate for this sunny place. The air conditioned rooms can accommodate one, two (either double or twin beds) and a special room with a lounge big enough for four people. Breakfast is included in the price of the room and may be taken on the patio. There are many restaurants in the vicinity (five minutes walk). There is no parking at the hotel but there is public parking a five minute walk away.
Notes There are two bus stops in Vejer, La Barca de Vejer (1.5 km. from Vejer) on the N340 from Malaga to Cadiz. To reach Vejer town you can take a taxi from the bus stop for about 6 euros approximately. The other bus stop is in town, next to the park in Los Remedios. If you plan to visit Gibraltar, a taxi from the border of Gibraltar and Spain to the bus station in La Linea takes about ten minutes and costs around 10 euros. There are buses from Cadiz to Vejer every 2 hours between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. (it takes about 75 minutes and costs around 6 euros)
The nearest train stations are at San Fernando and Cádiz . Both stations are connected to the international rail network via Madrid.
