In the heart of the historic town of Ubeda (a UNESCO heritage site) is a fourteenth century house that has been beautifully restored and decorated by the architect Edward Pla. This special house is now a small inn, with just five guestrooms, that offers a wonderful place to stay while exploring Ubeda and surroundings. On the first floor is the reception, a salon and a dining room with views of the wine cellar and where you can enjoy breakfast. The architect has paid great attention to detail throughout the house, and the rooms are each uniquely decorated and include marble, stone, wood, metal and glass. Each room has a pleasant modern bathroom. In the air conditioned rooms are minibar, television, safe, hairdryer, ADSL wireless internet connection. An extra bed is possible in some rooms.
Notes A great location from which to take day trips: Route of the Castles, Route of the Olives, Natural Park of Cazorla, Segura and Las Villas. Route of the Renaissance. Ubeda has many wonderful monuments and museums. The hotel can provide guides for tours of Ubeda and Baeza. In the vicinity it is possible to arrange golf, hunting, horseriding, tennis, hiking and spas.

Cancellation Policy:
For cancellations between the time of booking and 30 days prior to arrival the hotel will charge a 10 Euro admin fee. For cancellations 30 to 15 days prior to arrival 10% of the total amount of the booking will be charged by the hotel. If cancelled between 15 and 7 days prior to arrival, 25% of the total amount of the booking will be charged. If cancelled 7 to 3 days prior to arrival, 50% of the total amount of the booking will be charged. If cancelled 2 days or less prior to arrival the total amount of the booking will be charged.

The Afan de Riveria was excellent, George the innkeeper was very helpful even though I have very little Spanish and his English although better than my Spanish was limited - we conversed profusly, he was lovely. The hotel is beautifully restored and beautifully decorated. Our room was very well appointed with a modern bathroom and high standard of toiletries. The breakfast was sumptious, just the ticket for Christmas morning. Local and Andalusian jamon, queso, salami, and many home cooked delicaties such as poached figs, cakes etc. George arranged for us to have "Nochebuena" dinner on Christmas Eve at the Parador de Ubeda and it was not only very good value but excellent food and service.
