Supplementary charge during Easter, long weekends, weekends in May, December 20 - 3 January. Sorry but this hotel is unsuitable for children under 15. This intriguing hotel has been built on an old pepper-drying house and a building from early in the 1900's. Renovations have been made using the old structure and techniques but with modern architecture in mind. El Turcal has eleven double en suite rooms, all of them spacious and bright. They have views of the Tietar River and the mountains from Sierra de Tormantos. Eight of the rooms are located in the main building, six of them on the first floor and the other two in the large attic from the original drying house. The hotel stands beside the Dehesa Boyal, a protected nature reserve full of oaks, green prairies, a lake teeming with birds and wildlife. In addition there are 46 waterfalls in the area, an an ideal place for walking and biking. The restaurant, which is open exclusively to guests, offers selected menus using only fresh and natural ingredients, a limited but very selective list of wines and a selection of typical dishes of this beautiful region. Meals should be ordered in advance. Please note that this hotel accepts Visa only. The hotel is unsuitable for children under 15.

Notes Jerte River valley, famous for its blooming cherry trees in spring, is only 30 minutes drive away. The old town of Plasencia with its cathedral and palaces is 20 miles away. The Monfrague national park is 25 miles. Kayaking, biking, hiking, horseriding five minutes away.

For stays of 1 or 2 nights: If cancelled more than 7 days prior to reservation, no hotel penalty. If cancelled within seven days of reservation the hotel will charge the amount of one night.
For stays of 3 nights or more: if cancelled within seven days of reservation, hotel will charge 30% of entire stay. In cases where client has booked three or more nights and shortens the number of days reserved (upon arrival or during stay), the hotel will charge 30% of the cost of the remaining nights. In case of no-show, 100% of complete stay charged.
Balearic & Canary Islands
If cancelled between fifteen and eight days of reservation date, the hotel will charge 50% of the total nights reserved. If cancelled seven or less days prior to reservation date, hotel will charge total amount of stay. In case of no-show, 100% of complete stay charged.

“This inn is in a very beautiful area and is very comfortable and attractive. The staff were friendly and helpful.
I had one small problem that they might be able to fix but again I didn't speak enough Spanish to explain.
When the shower is turned on the water pressure forces the shower head up and it sprays all over the wall and floor. It was hilarious really if you could have seen me trying to stop it but it is a waste of dry towels that then need to be exchanged.
