We fell in love with Toledo thanks to our welcome from the Hotel San Juan de los Reyes staff. Whatever our need, directions, taxi tour, restaurant suggestions, activities, internet password the desk staff and housekeeping staff were gracious and accommodating. The rooms are clean, large, bathroom toiletries and towels lush, the air conditioning and wifi work great and the historical building and location are perfect for enjoying Toledo. We felt safe and secure allowing our teenage children a chance to explore the area full of markets and cultural sites as part of the National Heritage Site.
Didn't Like:
Couldn't quite figure out how to make use of the cafe/dining area when in need of a cup of coffee or light lunch. The dining room, bar, casual seating area and outside cafe area are all so lovely but we didn't know who to ask for a menu or for service. Breakfast buffet was clear but not at other times of the day so we would leave the hotel to find a market or restaurant when we really wanted to stay at the hotel with a book and cup of coffee,juice or sandwich. ”

For lunch and dinner, it would have been nice if there was more than one choice of food.
If its possible, hotel could provide information on how to move around town if you didn't want to walk.”

They had 'a problem' with our reservation. We didn't find out the reason but suspect they were overbooked. They were proactive in providing a higher grade hotel alternative, ensured our bags were transfered and allowed us to leave our car in a secure underground car park overnight. An acceptable outcome.
Didn't Like:
We were disappointed not to stay at our preferred choice, which had been carefully selected through your website.”
