“Memorable and individual. The front desk staff were helpful and the decor magic. Breakfast is not brilliant but the rest makes up for it.”

“A bit musty. One of our group had an allergic reaction within fifteen minutes of entering the ground-floor room. The fire alarm also went off at midnight for fifteen minutes, triggered by a hot shower in one of the rooms. The staff has limited English, so some Spanish fluency would be helpful. It captured the character of the Alcoba well. Breakfast is varied, full, and good. The hotel bar is a ne”

“Location is everything and I thought this was too far away from the center of town. It was loud because it's near a main street. Also, on a couple nights there was a horrible sewage smell coming out of the bathroom. It was choking and we had to open the windows, which was something we didn't want to do due to the street noise. But it was the only choice. The hotel itself was lovely, but these factors made it such that I wouldn't recommend it.”

“For the price I think this hotel was over rated. The "suites" were large somewhat dark rooms on the ground floor so facing into the street. The terrace on the roof was nice but closed the day we came back early to use it in order to relax and read, albeit it was for improvement the hotel could have notified guests as we would not have returned early if we had known. The staff and manger were most helpful though and the managers cousin drove us to a nice park when we expressed our disappointment at not having a place to sit quietly and read.”

“Not allocated the room we booked.
Room given had following faults :-
Shower blocked and smelly and grouting around tiles was dirty.
Curtain over wardrobe was torn.
Used tealights on display.
Room very noisy, area not very nice.
We have checked Trip Advisor and realise our comments differ from other people's - perhaps we were just unlucky.Last year we stayed at Hotel Bellas Artes in Jerez and found it excellent in every way.”

“It was not in the center of old town, in fact we had to walk 2 miles to get to the center. The elevator did not work, we had to use the steps that had candles to light the way, that I might add burned out about 9pm. Went up to the upper patio and it was delightful, but it was so dark coming down the steps we had to hold hands. The rooms were so dark that we could not see to read and the tv didn't even have CNN. They did not have room for our car in the lot so we had to leave it on the street. Dare I go on, I was very disapointed in the hotel and long distance we had to walk to get to the center of "Old Town".”
