The hotel was old wordly, very quaint and the furnishings good. The service we had was also excellent.
A minor criticsm was that we felt the breakfasts were limited, did not provide much choice and the portions could have been more generous. However we enjoyed our stay at the hotel.”

“This is a bit of a mixed bag. Staff are not particualrly helpful. We were shown to ground room which was dark and faced on to the road. On request we were then shown a beautiful room looking onto the internal courtyard. There was an assumption that the hotel was secure but I would not have trusted the locks on doors or windows. Everything else about the room was fine. We enjoyed our stay but the place could try harder. ”

“Liked:
We had a huge room with separate lounge area. Some beautiful Spanish architectural features and decor. Our room was comfortable and on the ground floor. The bathroom was newish and spacious with double sinks.
Didn't Like:
The hotel seemed to be run by quite young people working at reception. They all had an indifferent, disinterested manner about them and were not particulary cheerful or engaging. I think the owner or manager needs to take them in hand and train them better and to take a more hands on approach to operating the hotel. It had a faded glory air about it. Also Sanlucar de Barrameda itself was a bit of a disappointment. We were staying in the old part of town which was lovely and away from the bland beach development but the townspeople were unwelcoming and dismissive in their attitude. Our room although comfortable had a musty. damp smell about it and 7 of the bulbs on the chandelier needed replacing as did some of the lamps. One of the taps leaked water to all over the counter.”
