Both the house and surroundings are just beautiful. Loved both our bedroom and the enormous living room downstairs. We had a glassed-in terrace off our room that looked over a small chapel and grape vines. The staff knew little English but still managed to be very attentive to our needs. Delicious breakfast. Maica was a very gracious and sweet hostess.

Pazo Cibran was a surprise--and a real gem. The old Hacienda has been in the owner's family for generations and while it has been updated for guest comfort, it still reflects agrarian Galacia -- vineyards, garden, chapel, stone stairways, antique furniture and paintings. Fatima and Roberto, who took care of us, are gracious and welcoming. Fatima's breakfast spread was large, delicious and full of local dishes we had read about but didn't get to sample elsewhere. A real bonus is the fine restaurant just a short walk down the road where we enjoyed one of the best dinners of our 3 week travels in Spain.
Pazo Cibran is also a good answer for people worrying about trying to manage a car in nearby Santiago de Compostela.

“beautiful environment. Excellent breakfast. The famous Mica welcome however was missing as we were English and as she spoke none she made very little effort while it was noticeable she did with Spanish guests. The maid from peru who tried however was brilliant.”

Owner and management are very nice. They drove us into town and picked us up because driving in that town (Santiago de Compostela) is incredibly difficult.
The breakfasts were quite good.
They gave us a free upgrade because the room we had reserved was recently sprayed for flies, and the chemical smells in that room were nasty.
Didn't Like:
Very difficult to find. It took us about 2 hours extra driving just to find the place. And we had a GPS and Google maps with us.
Near farm animals and smells. The flies were a bit bothersome.
Not as upscale as all the other recommendations. It has a rural atmosphere.”
