Casa do Meerlo is a beautiful 17th century building located in Galicia, in Lugo province just 500 meters from the sea, and near the beautiful Cathedrals beach, famous for its amazing arches and caves sculpted by the action of wind and waves. All of the beaches in this area were awarded a EU blue flag for the quality of water, sand and accesibility. The hotel has ten rooms: five doubles, four triples and one quadruple. All are decorated with colonial solid wood furniture and have wood floors and ceiling and stone walls. All the rooms have beautiful views and have spacious and fully equipped bathrooms, heating and wi-fi internet connection. On the ground floor, there are areas for watching television, reading, having a cocktail, playing cards or simply relaxing in front of the fireplace. The house also has a beautiful garden and a terrace surrounded by a bonsai collection. The glassed dinning room is at the front of the house and offers some wonderfull fresh and regional cuisine. This is a relaxing and friendly place to stay and is an ideal base for exploring green Sapin.

The front desk and restaurant service was brilliant - very friendly and helpful.
The rooms were immaculate, as were the bathrooms. Lovely furniture, comfortable beds.

There wasn't anything we didn't like, although the views out of the bedroom windows aren't wonderful. There is some building work going on in the surrounding area, which impacts a bit on the ambiance.”
