El Cortijo del Sotillo, is in a building from the XVIII century, and is an example of traditional popular architecture of the Parque Natural de Cabo de Gata-Níjar, with its volcanic landscape and natural beauty. In this Finca situated on fourteen hectares in the heart of the natural park, El Sotillo offers very comfortable accommodation in this peaceful place. Each room, in the theme of the ancient cortijos which formed the original finca, is uniquely decorated and all rooms have terraces which open to the pleasant countryside of the park, air conditioning, television, minibar, safe, internet access and, of course, full and spacious bathrooms. Some rooms also have an independent living room. It took the owners seven years to complete this sensitive restoration into a little hotel and restaurant offering good regional cuisine. There is also a pleasant outdoor swimming pool. There are lovely beaches close by, Genoveses, Barronal, Mónsul, etc., and this is an ideal environment for horseriding and hiking. Although this hotel is part of the group known as Silence Hotels, it is popular with families and, on occasion, can be less than silent.
