This 18-room (all en suite) inn is located on the site of an old water mill, on the edge of the village of Benaojan. It has been converted into a relaxing and comfortable hotel where you can dine very well, take great hikes, bike rides and -- if you want to drive around Andalusia--use as a convenient base for excursions. There are gardens to relax in next to the solar-heated swimming pool, fig trees and weeping willows for shade, and overlooking the stream, flower-filled terraces which serve as outside dining areas from May to October. Some of the rooms are large enough (with extra beds) to accommodate families and most rooms have their own terrace. The main lounge retains the workings of the original flour mill and a furze oven from its days as a bakery. The food at Molino is Andalusian and a selection of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes are always available. The restaurant and bar are also used by the local people of the area (giving you a chance to practice your Spanish). The superior rooms and junior suites all have their own terrace. Half board is also available (which includes breakfast, afternoon tea and a 3 course dinner menu). During high season only daily or weekly half board reservations will be accepted (price upon request). This hotel is booked months in advance, so you do need to reserve as early as possible. Staff are English and Spanish-speaking.
