This little hotel is located 3 km. from the busy town of Ronda, in the countryside of Tajo del Abanico. It is at the end of a path with rich vegetation on each side opening up to an estate of traditional Andalucian architecture in a natural setting. The sounds of fountains and birds fill the gardens and Maria, the innkeeper, is very solicitous of her guests. Each of the six large guestrooms, with queensize beds and rosemary-scented linens, are decorated in sand and white shades merging with the rock incorporated into the interiors. There is no television here, just books and gentle music. The peaceful setting and ancient Moorish pool and swimming pool in the garden are a relaxing escape from sightseeing in Ronda. There is wonderful walking in the countryside around the hotel. Breakfast may be taken at La Cazalla if requested in advance. The produce is from the surrounding area and from the hotel's gardens. The many restaurants and cultural attractions of Ronda are close by. All our clients who have stayed at La Cazalla are full of praise for the warm reception and relaxing ambience. La Cazalla is a low-key retreat best used as a staging base for day trips to the old city, or nature walks which the canyon easily provides. A self-catering option is also possible on the grounds of La Cazalla: La Casita is a charming, private cottage for two, (with the option of an extra bed for a child) thirty meters from the main hotel building. It has a bedroom with king size bed, ensuite bathroom with sunken bathtub, open plan sitting/dining room/one hob kitchen with large fridge and microwave and fireplace. There are two Terraces and access to the property's swimming pool. Weekly rental approximately 800 euros, or 130 Euros/night for a 3 night stay. Breakfast is possible, if ordered in advance (18 Euros for 2 ppl). Visa and Mastercard are the only accepted cards at La Cazalla.
