Posada Real La Carteria is a wonderfully hidden surprise. It is surrounded by the main square, the castle and the walls of the medieval village of Pueblo de Sanabria. The building dates back to 1736 when it was the main post office and later the office where the monks of Cister banked. Paco Somoza has restored the house to its original authenticity with stone, centenary wood beams, oak floors and slate. The house has a typical glass gallery of the Sanabria region with wonderful views of the river Tera. Interior design was by Spanish designer Mayado Diseno--a harmonious blend of the avant gard and traditional. The hotel's café and living room overlook the walls of the main square. The rooms are elegant and contemporary interiors with high-tech bathrooms. A friendly welcome awaits you at this unique little inn.

For Mainland Spain (peninsula)
For stays of 1 or 2 nights: If cancelled more than 7 days prior to reservation, no hotel penalty. If cancelled within seven days of reservation the hotel will charge the amount of one night.
For stays of 3 nights or more: if cancelled within seven days of reservation, hotel will charge 30% of entire stay. In cases where client has booked three or more nights and shortens the number of days reserved (upon arrival or during stay), the hotel will charge 30% of the cost of the remaining nights. In case of no-show, 100% of complete stay charged.
Balearic & Canary Islands
If cancelled between fifteen and eight days of reservation date, the hotel will charge 50% of the total nights reserved. If cancelled seven or less days prior to reservation date, hotel will charge total amount of stay. In case of no-show, 100% of complete stay charged.
