During 2010, a special price of 40 euros per person is available for half board (55 euros for single).
75 km from Salamanca in the deep countryside is this small, simple, rural inn built in the grounds of a botanical garden created in the 19th century by the Count of Trespalacios. The garden has been preserved and the small hotel called Garden of the Count is now a resting place for travellers who want to explore the countryside and the attractions of the area -- Las Batuecas, las Hurdes, Las Mestas, the ruins of Caparra, the Sierra de Bejar. Horseriding is available nearby and this is the perfect place to walk in the forest or simply relax. The double rooms are simple and small (but with telephone and television), all ensuite, and each has its own independent access. If you wish a more spacious room, then a suite is recommended. There is one suite with two bedrooms and a small salon, with bathroom (suitable for four people). The small restaurant serves regional foods (menu price approx 10 euros). The hotel is approximately mid-way between Salamanca and Plasencia.

Our Feedback
Rating: Excellent “A lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff, excellent and interesting meals, great view from our room, and a relaxing guest lounge. ” Rating: Very Good “The bedroom was extremely small and after the first night we had to upgrade to a junior suite.” Rating: Good “Liked: The lady who runs the hotel was charming and did all she could for our group.
The food provided was excellent apart from the breackfast on our first visit which she corrected with our advice about British tastes on our second visit. Didn't Like: The family who run the hotel are in the process of tidying up the grounds but it does look like 'work in progress' at the moment.
Will look fantastic when it is finished
The menu needs to be translated into English if they expect more visiters from the U.K. We were their first.”
