Prices for this hotel could be higher or lower depending on events taking place in the city. We will advise you of exact price at the time of your enquiry.
Room Mate Oscar is located close to the important museums of the city, the Prado, Thyrssen-Bornemisza and Reina Sofia, and is surrounded by some wonderful restaurants. In a building from the seventies that has been totally renovated, it is one of the more avant-garde projects completed by this group. The interiors were created by the Spanish interior designer Tomás Alía, and they are breathtaking - a multifunctional space, a huge coffee shop and bar, and with a restaurant that will be a “must” in the district of Chueca and Gran Vía. The hotel has seventy five rooms (small for Madrid) with standard rooms, executive rooms, junior suites and suites, all uniquely decorated and with the latest technology. Free wireless internet throughout the hotel. There is public parking close to the hotel and the cost for 24 hours is approximately 35 euros.

Liked:
very cool design of all spaces. Helpful staff.
Didn't Like:
Lighting was hard to control in the rooms. The lights came on twice in the night on their own and would not turn off.
Rating: Excellent
Liked:
Very helpful staff, knock-out decor, "out of the envelope" experience. What can one say: the six-story curtain across the facade of the hotel is made of hundreds of wire-strung Coke bottles? The building is signed "Do You Want to Sleep With Me?" Stupendous! Breakfasts were 5-star.
Didn't Like:
Nothing we didn't like. The decor (furniture) is hyper-modern and spare, so the room lacks a comfortable chair to read in--but that is a cost of the style.
Rating: Excellent
This is a great place. I was disappointed that the rate was 90 on the website, but 130 for one of the nights we stayed there. But the breakfast was fabulous. Puerta de las Granadas could learn from them.
Rating: Excellent
Very friendly and helpful staff and the hotel was clean and very nice decor. Would stay again.

I would stay here again. Great location off the Gran Via. We walked everywhere. Not much need for transportation unless your leaving town. Everything in the hotel was clean, beds good, breakfast ok. The front desk staff were helpfull when asked.
Didn't Like:
A minor change would be to add more lighting to hall ways and play down some of the plastic decor. Also the vanity and sink were made for very small people where if your taller you needed to lean way over. Not very functional.
Rating: Very Good
Liked:
Location. "Hip"-ness.
Didn't Like:
The hallway outside the rooms was noisy. The room furnishings were a bit cheap.
Rating: Good
Bit impersonal, odd lighting in breakfast room made food difficult to see ! Great position for sightseeing.
Rating: Good
Liked:
Price is fair. Front desk and bell staff were helpful. Location is central.
Didn't Like:
Rooms are a bit small, finishes are cheap and the rooms are beginning to look a bit tired. If you have a room on the 7th floor, you get a lot of nighttime traffic in the hallway, since this is the way to get to the popular rooftop night club.
Rating: Good
Liked:
Very central, very good base for getting around Madrid. Great area for cafes and bars. Clean, comfortable room, quiet despite the buzzy neighbourhood. Helpful staff. Good value
Didn't Like:
Aircon didn't work. Poor minibar choice. Roof terrace closed at 4 (and the weather was great) Breakfast very average compared to other Spanish boutique hotels we've stayed in, it was much more like what you'd get in the big chains.
