“Perfect!! Fabulous location!!! Great staff at front desk. Suited our needs perfectly. Very accommodating. Stayed 4 days when we arrived in Spain, and then stayed the last night before we left to fly back to the U.S. Great value for 2 couples to share an apartment: 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, living room and kitchen. Food at attached restaurant was so-so.”

One can't find a better location within the city of Madrid. We were located directly behind the entrance to the Prado, in the "golden triangle" for art, a few blocks from the Atocha train station and subway stop and of course a block or two from the Retiro park. There were bars and restaurants within walking distance. We did not have to take a taxi during our three day stay.
The hotel/apartment was on a safe and quiet street. It had two large bdrs. and two baths and so it suited our needs perfectly and was much cheaper than two rooms in a city hotel. I was traveling with my two adult daughters. There was a nice sitting area. It was very clean and we had daily maid service.
Didn't Like:
We did have to pick up the key at a different location near the Plaza de Espana as we arrived on a Sunday and there was poor communication with the hotel staff about checking out. This might be confusing for those not familiar with the city. It was not a problem for us.

“A perfect hotel for families. Staff was generally quite helpful and the location was very good...central yet quieter than other areas. I would always request an upper floor as the first floor is quite dark. The adjacent restaurant was great for breakfast and light meals and there is a very good Italian restaurant just down the street.”

“It wasa noisy in the early am as the cleaners laundry room was next to us. The cafe for breakfast was wonderful and the staff were all very helpful. I would recommend this to anyone., the best thing about Los Jeronimos was the location!”

There was plenty of space in reasonable quality accommodation. The balcony was very nice to have and the situation, just behind the Prado museum was wonderful for us.
Didn't Like:
The kitchen facilities were very basic and badly need updating. There was not even a kettle to make hot drinks.
The bathroom while adequate was very dated. It was however clean and the shower was very good.”
