“The hotel owners were very gracious and kind and helpful, even though we spoke little Spanish. Very hospitable people. Made our stay very pleasant as did the other guests of the hotel. We enjoyed the morning breakfast (we didn't realize this was included.) ”

“Beautiful room with patio, top floor, no elevator; wonderful view of the Alhambra. Staff very polite, very limited English, very helpful; very nice breakfast; 5 min walk to plaza; would definitely stay there again; Nice restaurant 3 mins away "Azafron," first meal excellent, 2nd good.”

“Fabulous and charming hotel! We felt like we were experiencing the essence of Granada.”

“The inn is a work of art. Our only complaint is that our stay was too short to have enough time to just enjoy the inn itself, particularly the rooftop terrace. The inn is located on a quiet lane just off a quite busy street,so you feel safe in the area. This is not a great place if you expect concierage-type services and staff to pamper you (staff were very helpful but were minimal and non-English speaking, although this was NOT a problem). One of our favourite places on this trip, and we look forward to a return.”

“Beautiful house - spectacular. But very small room. It was the cheapest they had - we requested a standard room but the others were much more expensive. Excellent service. No regrets.”

Property and location were awesome.
What a magnificient home including its artwork.
Didn't Like:
On the seoond day returned to our room which had been very neatly tidied up. When we had left in the morning, our belongings were in one area of the room in an organized fashion. Upon returning in the afternoon, luggage had been placed on shelves in the closet. I didn't appreciate it being moved. Where we had place it was convenient for our access.
This is my only complaint. The housekeeper/maid was very nice and attentive.”

A very special small hotel, full of character. We loved the different rooms and spaces and especially the roof terraces with their wonderful views. The hotel manager was very good and for us most helpful as she could speak French (our Spanish is not very fluent), and made us feel very welcome and at home. The personal service was attentive and prompt, and more as if we were guests in a private house than a hotel.
Didn't Like:
Our room was quite small, and being next to the street we were disturbed by the people collecting the bins right outside the hotel on one night, and on others there was a lot of noise from a radio being played nearby throughout the night.
The room was accessed straight off the main entrance/living rooms. If the hotel had had more guests this could have been very disturbing.”

“The Casas del Rey de Baeza (sp?) in Seville was excellent...wonderful staff and accomodations.
In Granados, we stayed at a guesthouse -- Hotel de Horno -- which was fine, and reasonably priced, but despite your good instructions, and our seasoned traveling experience, we found the hotel a little difficult to find and the transaction somewhat confusing. ”

“Cannot recommend this hotel or its management highly enough. Only caveat: it is extremely hard to find ones way in Granada by car, and it would be good if you explained this more clearly to guests in advance.”

“A work of art, will recommend to all my friends who go to Granada. By the way, there IS parking nearby, just ask at the Bar on the corner and they will give you tips where to park. You don't have to drive all the way back to the centre of the city (St.Augustin). Our suite had direct access to the patio/terrace. ”

“I would strongly recommend this Hotel. I took my girlfriend there to propose to her and the Hotel contibuted to making the whole holiday a very memorable break. The decor is amazing and there is a lot of attention to detail. If you've been to Granada and in particular the Alhambra, then you'll know what a special place it is and Horno de Oro compliments this beautifully by creating a real Arabic feel. The staff are very fiendly and always on hand to help you with whatever you need. It's a family business and it says a lot that we even had an uncle(Jesus) wait most of the afternoon to greet us when we arrived. You really feel you've stayed somewhere special here. ”

A small point, but it seemed to be difficult to get breakfast before about 9.15, which was a bit of a rush when on a morning trip to the Alhambra”

“Paula wonderful hostess - helpful at all times. Superb converted house in great location withing walking distance of most things and with view of Alhambra from the roof deck. My wife and I were placed in the smallest room, our friends were upstairs, which is only just big enough for 2 people. We should have been warned of this beforehand although everything else about the place made up for it (just!). As for most places we struck in Iberia the beds were firm which seems to help one's back but not enhance sleep!

Marvelous property; most unusual. Owner got up earlier than normal to provide breakfast because of our early departure the next day because of Alhambra tickets beginning at 8:30 a.m.
Didn't Like:
Lumpy mattress in one of two rooms for two couples. We had difficulty with our phone and could not easily reach the
B&B, so could not arrive at the appointed time. Someone was there, but this is not always the case. ”

We were met at the door by a woman who was clearly annoyed by our arrival
She gave us cursory introductin keys and departed
We were the only occupants bit spooky
Owner(?) showed up briefly in am but was in a hurry to leave
Didn't inquire if we needed anything
Awful breakfast stale bread nothing fresh
Again annoyed Told to call our own taxi whereupon we discovered the long hike with suitcases from the square was unnecessary
Over priced and very strange experience”

the location is as brilliant as advertised. we were the only guests staying ( we booked 3 of the 5 rooms available), the views from the roof terrace are spectacular, the lady who greeted us was very friendly and not always around, which to us was a plus, because it felt more like a home than a hotel
Didn't Like:
breakfast was, to say the least, really disappointing. probably served with english visitors in mind, it consisted of really, really awful and nasty packed sausages, orange juice out of a pack, some sweet packed cakes , tostada and coffee. we would have much preferred a spanish breakfast with tomato puree and olive oil on our tostadas. coffee was acceptable. considering the room prices this really needs improving.”

“This was a beautiful inn, in an excellent location and with a charming owner. The room was comfortable and had plenty of character. The areas that needed to be improved upon, particularly for a UK market were an increased number of English speaking channells on the satellite tv but moreover, increased facilities for the provision of food and drink at the hotel. There needed to be a bar, either in t”
