“A delightful hotel. Immaculate. Very carefully furnished and decorated. The most comfortable bed of our four weeks in Spain. Our host, Christian Most, was very helpful from the moment we met him in the Plaza Nueva. He had prepared a list of restaurants in the Albaicin and gave us his suggestions and personal evaluations. He personally led us to one of them that he thought might be difficult to find on our own. The hotel is a little difficult to reach when dragging a suitcase up the cobbled streets with a step every couple of metres but it's worth the climb (and it's downhill when you leave). ”

“The inn is beautifully restored and the room was beautiful. The neighborhood can seem a little questionable on the surface and the stairs were more of a challenge than described. Breakfast was a little too formal for my taste with Christian serving everyone. It felt awkward at times. I wouldn't recommend this to others, although I might stay there again myself.”

“Our host was friendly and welcoming. He provided information when it was requested. The rooms were spacious and charming and the courtyard was a lovely spot for enjoying a glass of wine in the sun. The location was ideal for shops and restaurants. It was very close to Alhumbra.”

“(1/5) Nice location and nice room, but very unpleasant host with totally false and feigned "kindness". Avoid this hotel unless no other choice.
We came in February 2005; due to an exceptionnal snow storm, the Madrid airport was closed (the previous time it happened was 22 years ago...!) and our flight was postponed to the following day. Therefore ur stay in Granade had to be reduced to 3 days instead of 4.
However we had to pay for the full 4-day stay, our hotel host estimating that we informed him too late and that he did not have to support the exceptional circumstances (Did we have to?... ). No way to discuss or get a discount, or at least kind explanations with normal and polite behaviour. This added to the frustation of reduced holiday in an unsufficiently heated hotel room. We certainly won't come back in this place.”

“The Aljarife was aesthetically lovely but we had two teen boys with us and felt that the owner was unpleasant and unwelcoming when we arrived. He improved his demeanor a little by the time we left, but we never felt at ease when he was around. ”
