IMPORTANT: because of the location of this little hotel, it is not recommended for those who do not wish to walk. It is NOT accessible by car and is a walk of about 150 yards on cobblestones, uphill from the Plaza Nueva. The innkeeper may be available to help carry your luggage from the Plaza to the hotel.
This charming little 17th century house, now a small hotel, is situated in a quiet part of the Albaicin with a lovely view of the Alhambra. From the second floor, look from your room to the typically Andalusian courtyard. The house was restored and renovated in 1997 and offers history and comforts of modern life - civilized bathrooms and air conditioning - in its cosy four guestrooms. The Albaicin, declared a protected area by UNESCO, is the oldest district of Granada and is within a few minutes of the town centre, the Alhambra, the cathedral and other significant monuments. Reaching the centre of Granada and parking can sometimes be tiresome, but the innkeeper will do his best to have you arrive unstressed. There is an underground Parking area on Gran Via, beside the cathedral, and Christian, the larger-than-life innkeeper, will meet you there or at the Plaza Nueva if you want help with your luggage. Breakfast is served at the house, but there are many fine restaurants close by for dinner. The innkeeper will supply maps and advice on what to see and where to go in the Albaicin. Note that this little hotel is at the top of a cobblestone hill (pedestrian only). It is not a suitable location for those who have difficulty walking. Note: no parking, no restaurant (although there are many restaurants in the vicinity).
Family Information
The hotel has rooms for two, three and four people.
Meal Information
Only breakfast is offered here - it may be served in the dining room or the courtyard.
Notes
Granada airport is located about 16 Kilometres west of the city near the small town of Santa Fé. The access to the airport is from the A92 Seville motorway. There are 6 departures a day for buses to the city and their timetable is designed to link up with the flight schedules. There are taxis available and several car hire companies based at the airport. There are buses from Seville to Granada.

A delightful hotel. Immaculate. Very carefully furnished and decorated. The most comfortable bed of our four weeks in Spain. Our host, Christian Most, was very helpful from the moment we met him in the Plaza Nueva. He had prepared a list of restaurants in the Albaicin and gave us his suggestions and personal evaluations. He personally led us to one of them that he thought might be difficult to find on our own. The hotel is a little difficult to reach when dragging a suitcase up the cobbled streets with a step every couple of metres but it's worth the climb (and it's downhill when you leave).

Terrific. Deluxe rooms on a budget. As a family of 4, we took the large suite. Enjoyed every comfortable minute. Great beds. Very helpful and interesting proprietor, with dry sense of humor.
