There are minimum stay requirements over Easter, long weekends and Christmas. 50% deposit required upon booking. Please note that the house is not suitable for children under 10 years old. On the southern slopes of the Gredos mountains is this old farm property built in the early 1900s in the traditional style for drying tobacco and peppers grown on the surrounding 7 acres of land. It has been restored and converted into a small country inn. Combining comfort and attractive country antiques the original features of the building were preserved whenever posible. Old oak trees surround the house and on its south side a large terrace shaded by three ancient vines overlooks the slopes planted with fruit trees (citrus and figs) and olive groves, watered by a stream that runs through the property. This privileged area enjoys a special microclimate that favours the growth of many mediterranean plants such as bougainvilleas, palms, kiwis etc. and it is also one of the principal tobacco growing areas in Europe. There are beautiful vistas of flowering cherry trees with the Gredos peaks covered in snow as a unique backgroud. At the bottom of the garden, by a large weeping willow and other trees, is a pool for the exclusive use of resident guests. The inn has five double bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, some with standard double beds, others with twin beds and one room has a king-size bed. On the top floor there is a large sunny sitting room, and there is another living room on the ground floor overlooking the terrace. The large and shady terrace is used all year round, but particularly during the summer months for both breakfasts and candle-lit dinners. The hotel offers breakfast and dinner, and continental breakfasts are included in the price. Evening meals are by request and there is a three course menu of home cooking, mainly based on vegetables grown in our the kitchen garden (whenever possible) and the typical products of the region. In the colder months, the house is well heated by two wood burning stoves that supply all the rooms with hot air (and there are also radiators in each bedroom). At the bottom of the garden, by a large weeping willow and other trees, is a pool for the exclusive use of resident guests.
