It was very peaceful and private, set in beautiful gardens. The food was excellent quality and good value.
Didn't Like:
We were charged high season rates even though we were the only guests until the last night of our stay. This would be fine if the service matched the price. However, while the staff were friendly, they were inattentive. We had to clean the pool ourselves if we wanted to swim in it as it was full of wasps. No-one cleared away glasses or plates from outside areas and the poolside bar was closed. Considering how quiet it was, we should have been charged lower season rates - it certainly felt 'out of high season'. The breakfast was also quite basic - we expected better for E160 a night such as fresh juices, more fruit and fresher bread. We were also surprised that the beautiful outside terrace was not used for dinner in the evening. The inside, air conditioned dining room was sterile with bright lighting and no atmosphere. A few simple candles would have improved it.”
