Minimum two night stay on weekends (Friday and Saturday nights).

Hotel is closed:
From Jun/28/2010 to Sep/16/2010
The original building dates back to the 17th century, and it has gone through many renovations since that time. With a distinctly Sevillan/Colonial style and ambience, it surrounds a central courtyard which is decorated with tiles, from the famous Mensaque Tile Factory in Seville, and wrought iron columns and marble floor. There are impressive hand-carved antique French windows and the majestic balustrade of the main staircase leads to a domed gallery on the second floor. There are eight rooms that look onto the central patio, which is full of light, greenery and flowers. The rooms are beautifully decorated with antique doors and windows, natural fabrics, authentic Cordoban furniture from cast iron and all have spacious modern bathrooms decorated in warm colours. The Azulejos Fusion Restaurant serves an interesting and unique cuisine from Andalusia and Latin America; seasonal produce, aromatic plants and herbs from the hotel's own market garden are used. There is also a Cantina in a perfectly preserved cellar with vaulted ceilings, which serves Mexican-style food. The Cantina is entered from the central courtyard by a small staircase, and is open Tuesday to Sunday for lunch and Thursday, Friday and Saturday for dinner (Live Mariachi band plays on Saturday lunchtime). It is MUCH better not to have a car in Cordoba as parking in this area is very scarce. For approx. 11 Euros the hotel can try to reserve a parking space in a hotel a few doors down. Note that there is a minimum two night stay on weekends and holidays.
Family Information
An extra bed may be possible in some rooms. The suite, with the addition of two extra beds, may be suitable for a family of four. Baby crib free.
Meal Information
La Guadalupana Cantina Restaurant serves traditional Mexican food, the menu is approx. 15 euros. The restaurant is closed on Mondays. The opening schedule in Winter: open for dinner from Tuesday to Sunday and for lunch from Thursday to Saturday. Summer: open for dinner from Tuesday to Sunday and for lunch only Saturday and Sunday.

Utterly charming. Our favorite place of the entire 3-week trip to Spain. A gorgeous building with hallways decorated with azulejos - painted tiles. We had a beautifully furnished, spacious room that looked out on the plant-filled interior courtyard. Excellent bathroom. The staff was wonderful. A computer with internet connection was free for guests to use -- a great boon for a traveling academic who has to check her email often. The office even printed out a 20 page manuscript for me - above and beyond the call of duty. I look forward to visiting Cordoba again and would certainly stay here.

Liked:
Beautiful place. Loverly cool patio with Azulejo tiles. Cool and quiet room. Nice bright decor on latin american theme. Great breakfasts - good coffee and good choice of cereals as well as more Spanish items. Manuel huge source of good advice and help. Very reasonably priced.
Didn't Like:
Nothing, but full length mirror in room would be handy. There only seems to be one restaurant now - the Mexican cantina - where the service was very, very slow for everyone(about one and a half hours to be served) with no apology or recognition of this.

Really felt as if we were in someone's home. The Mexican restaurant was a total surprise, wonderful! Great breakfast. Short taxi to the Mesquite arranged easily by our hosts, you can't really call it a reception!

Amazingly difficult to locate this hotel but it was well worth the search

A beautiful room, and nice to have 2 restaurants on site. Good breakfast with great coffee! Great location, and the staff and owner were terrific. Where else would you find a host that sent home jewelry that was inadvertently left behind! We enjoyed our stay and will be sure to recommend this Casa to our friends.

Well, they lost our reservation... but the staff was wonderful and took care of us. They found us another room, parked our car for us, and treated us to breakfast in the morning. I would try to stay with them again, despite the mix up!

We thought that our room at the hotel was lovely, and enjoyed our stay. The owner/operator was more than gracious and very caring. The only disappointment was the restaurant. Both the dinner and the breakfast in particular were poor.

Our large, comfortable room had the most unusual fireplace I've ever seen - very interesting building. Service was great, and the well-stocked library is a very nice touch.

Probably the most friendly atmosphere I have experienced during the past ten years. We will certainly recommend and possibly return.

Difficult to find, after driving around the narrow one way system a few times I hailed a taxi and followed it to the hotel. A good tip for fellow travellers.

A nice hotel with friendly staff and an excellent restaurant. We had the Bougainvilla room which is very attractive indeed. We would recommend this hotel.

The Patio and general inside was very good but the mattress was extrememly hard and I couldn´t sleep. the service was also excellent.
Rating: Good
Good but I thought the building could have been presented better. Pleasant young student running reception but not a feel of being welcomed into an establishment proudly run by manager or owner. Pretty standard 3 star hotel feel to it - nothing special - but I felt it could be with more attention. Room smallish but clean.

Hotel staff not particularly welcoming or helpful, and completely unable to tell us the bus number or bus stop location to reach the railway station!

The accommodation was not really up to the standard we had expected for a 'superior' room although the bathroom was exceptional. Nevertheless there was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room and the decor was a little drab and faded. Also the noise form a nieghbouring room -the bathroom/wc - really was very bad, hearing pretty much every sound and that of running water and the tanks being refilled. Also the bar/club was loud and music playing much too late at night and during the afternoon. Although it was an interesting hotel,All in all it was not really a very good satisfactory experience.
