“A wonderful rural location. Excellent rooms. The food and service were stunning. The wine list was excellent and the proprietor knowledgeable. Help with walking routes, maps and other venues were excellent. We would go there again. ”

“Great location for walking in the western Picos but also in the surrounding lesser known, equally beautiful and much quieter, Pongo mountains. Accommodation fantastic - simple decor, very comfortable and lots of space to relax inside and out - and food delicious. Our hosts were extremely knowledgable of the area and kept a good supply of self-guided walks, maps and guide books. Wish we could have stayed longer! ”

Lovely setting, close to coast and the Western Massive of the Picos. Very helpful hosts, who provided detailed walking notes and maps. Accommodation very good, and we had lovely home-cooked food, including homemade bread. I also appreciated the emphasis on organic food, and the hotel's ecofriendly approach.

“ We were upgraded to a 'Special' room which was as it sounds. The hotel & its' surroundings are stunning. The food was Vgood if slightly anglicised. Once again breakfast was overpriced.
