2 night minimum stay on weekends, 3 night minimum stay August.

Most of Can Xiquet is newly-built but some of the original building has been preserved and renovated (breakfast is served in the original winecellar). This is a rambling property and a new wing has recently been added with some lovely double rooms with balcony. Cantallops is at the end of a long road of olive groves, and is close to the French border and Figueres. There are sixteen well-equipped rooms, many with balcony and exceptional views. The ensuite bathrooms are modern, with both tub and shower. The furniture is smart, in neutral tones, with wood floors, and there is flat screen t.v., free minibar, wifi. An extra child bed may be placed in the suite at no charge and there is no charge for breakfast for children under twelve. There is a very good restaurant with an interesting menu (including a good degustation menu), a swimming pool, several terraces and fitness room. Breakfast may be taken in the restaurant or on the terrace of your room (no extra charge for this room service). There are wonderful walks in the olive groves close to the hotel. Horseback riding can be arranged (with an outside company). This is a popular weekend venue for visitors from Barcelona and from France - so book early.

Family Information

The hotel can accommodate a family of 3 in a double room with an extra bed. A family of 4 can stay comfortably in Junior rooms with 2 extra beds or suites with 2 extra beds.

Meal Information

International cuisine. 35 Eu. All meals are available (vegeterians, celiacs, etc). Closed from October till March Monday night and Tuesday all day.

Notes

Any applicable City and regional taxes (usually in the range of 1-3 euros per person/night) are collected by the hotel at checkout. Swimming pool, fitness room, Bicycle rentals, 4 x 4 guided rides. A good base from which to explore this interesting area - Figueres, the French border towns, Perpignan. Interesting (and extensive) hikes in the area.

“Fantastic hotel in a wonderful location. My only problem was we had a junior suite and the bathroom formed part of the room with only a blind for privacy (this was a problem for me as I prefer privacy in the bathroom but not my husband. Otherwise, perfect. ”
