This small and simple inn in Bubion was once the residence of the local manager of the national electricity supply company. In those days, it hosted very special guests, including the King of Spain and his son. The house was purchased by an enterprising family from the village who have created a lovely little casa rural with bed and breakfast accommodation. There are seven unique bedrooms each with its own bathroom and are decorated in white with splashes of vivid colour. Most of the rooms have one double bed, and there is one room with twin beds and a sofabed and one single room. There is free municipal parking very close to La Sevillana. Only breakfast is served but there are several restaurants and cafes in the village. The little village of Bubion is halfway between Capileira and Pampaneira in the Poqueira gorge and is surrounded by magnificent views of the often snow-capped Sierra Nevada peaks and the Alpujarras. Bubión is a good base for walking and is on the GR7 long-distance footpath. If you love hiking or walking, this is a perfect location. If you plan to arrive at the inn later than 3 p.m. please let us know.

Loverly views from our room, balcony and terrace. Having the place to ourselves. Warm welcome and attention from Anna. Could set off on walks straight from the hotel.
Didn't Like:
Quite hard to keep the room cool enough. An umbrella or awning on the terrace would have been useful. It was unusually hot when we were there.”

We were unable to gain entry when we arrived at 4.0pm and did not realise we would have to phone the caretaker. When we tried the two phoneboxes in the village both were broken and our mobile didnt work so we were a bit stuck. Two hours later managed to raise another guest who explained how to obtain the key. ”
