This small and simple inn in Bubion was once the residence of the local manager of the national electricity supply company. In those days, it hosted very special guests, including the King of Spain and his son. The house was purchased by an enterprising family from the village who have created a lovely little casa rural with bed and breakfast accommodation. There are seven unique bedrooms each with its own bathroom and are decorated in white with splashes of vivid colour. Most of the rooms have one double bed, and there is one room with twin beds and a sofabed and one single room. There is free municipal parking very close to La Sevillana. Only breakfast is served but there are several restaurants and cafes in the village. The little village of Bubion is halfway between Capileira and Pampaneira in the Poqueira gorge and is surrounded by magnificent views of the often snow-capped Sierra Nevada peaks and the Alpujarras. Bubión is a good base for walking and is on the GR7 long-distance footpath. If you love hiking or walking, this is a perfect location.
