“Son (11) was thrilled to discover his bed was on a mini mezzanine at the end of the room. Faboulously comfortable beds, great breakfast taken in the inner coutyard of this lovely old building. Do not miss this boutique hotel!”

We enjoyed the seperate sleeping space within the family room for our children. In this respect it was the best of all our various hotels.
The staff were very helpful and accomodating and sympathetic to my limited knowledge of Spanish - thank you!
We would like to return to Aranjuez and to the El Cocheron 1919 on another visit to Spain in the future. The hotel was the perfect start to an excellent 12 day stay in Spain.

“Family room was great - kids loved their mezzanine bedroom. Breakfast was ok - would have been nice to have a little choice (maybe a buffet style breakfast would work better?). Overall a lovely hotel.”

“Our bedroom too close to kitchen/dining area so heard clatter of cups early in morning. Decor was really nice and staff wonderful. Would love to try out more Inns of Spain accommodation as this compared to our hotel in Madrid was far better. will be back”

Charming hotel with hostess who sent us to a great restaurant, Casa Jose. This is a great town and hotel for anyone flying in from the Sates to Madrid, picking up a car and wanting to stay close to Madrid before traveling on to other towns/cities. ( A chance to rest and regroup after the overnight flight from the States.) Casa Jose was the best meal/restaurant we experienced in our two weeks in Spain.

Breakfast was typical Continental fair but in charming area of hotel.”

“The room was smaller than expected - however, the decor and cleanliness were very good. The breakfast was excellent.”

“We were very comfortable and pleased that the hotel was on a side road which was obviously a lot quieter than the main 'drag'.
I think that this should be mentioned in the description for obvious reasons.”

It was fairly easy to find and the town has a wonderful royal palace to visit and a lovely river. The receptionist was pleasant. Parking near the hotel was free and easy to find.
Didn't Like:
The hotel front was tired and in need of painting, as do the the blinds along the outside of the building. The room was fine. It was functional, cool and comfortable but there was no wow factor. The entrance foyer/dining area had no air conditioning on and was rather warm as we booked in after a long and tiring journey. It also needs updating: again it was fine but could do with a facelift. Don't bother with the breakfast as there are places to eat on the way into town and it is gloomy inside the hotel dining area.”
