It is easily reached using the high speed train (AVE) and both Malaga and Granada airports as well as by road. Its unique location at the heart of the Andalusian region makes it a great place to choose as a base to explore other cities and their cultural heritage like Antequera, Córdoba, Granada, Málaga, Seville, and just 30 minutes drive away is the area known as the “Desfiladero de los Gaitanes” and the El Chorro, Guadalteba, Guadalhorce or Gaitanejo resevoirs. There are fourteen delightful rooms of different styles and sizes - nine standard, two junior suites with terrace, two suites with jacuzzi and living room and one imperial suite with jacuzzi, suite and private terrace. All have rustic ceilings, wooden-framed windows, a telephone, a T.V, a hairdryer, a mini-bar, a selection of hot drinks, heated floors, WIFI, a small safe, and spacious bathrooms. The chef, Jesús Guerrero, has created an excellent selection of Mediterranean cuisine using only top-quality produce, some of which comes from the hotel's own garden. Restaurant guests are treated to delicious food and great views while they sit in the cozy dining room. The hotel has outdoor pools, a gym, tennis courts, horseriding, mountain bikes and a spa (note that there is an extra charge for some of these amenities). The 300m2 Spa and solarium has large windows that offer impressive views all around, giving clients the chance to relax completely while enjoying some spectacular sunsets. In the spa is an indoor pool with hydromassage, jacuzzi, sauna, Turkish bath, jet shower, solarium, and massages are available.

See the 150 million-years-old Karstic rock formations in the Torcal Nature Park.
The area known as “Torcal de Antequera”, which is the first officially designated Nature Park in Andalusia, is on hand for walks, hiking and even climbing as well as mountain bike and horse tracks that wind in and out of the spectacular rocky formations in the Park. The 150 million-year-old Karstic rock outcrops give the whole area a kind of magical feeling reminiscent of the Jurassic period.
Visit Antequera and its monuments
Antequera, which is only 17 kilometers away by car, accounts for the 80% of the historic heritage in the entire province of Malaga. This wealth of cultural heritage dates back to the first Iberian settlers as evidenced by the presence of the very well conserved Menga Dolmens. These impressive figures are thought to be over 5000 years old and are made up of 180 ton megaliths.
The glorious Roman Efebo bronze statue stands as witness the important Roman presence of old, while the Alcazaba (Arab castle/palace) represents the Arab’s long reign. Then there are the more then 30 beautiful churches of all shapes and sizes (evidence of the Re-conquest period), that fight for space with the large town houses built over the last few centuries. All these features make a tour of Antequera quite an interesting experience with lots of fascinating spots to be discovered.
Experience the sight of 11,000 Flamingos visit each year.
The Fuente de Piedra Lagoon, which is a few kilometres away from the hotel, is a temporary home to 11.000 flamingos each year. This salt water lagoon totally free from predators is a perfect place for them to make rest and their nests. A visit to the lake during the Flamingo’s nest-making season is an almost must-visit for our hotel guests.
Young guests will enjoy a visit to the Wolf Park and the Donkey shelter. For the younger members of the guests both the Wolf Park and the Donkey Shelter are also fun visits and will let them learn more about these two locally bred animals so prominent in the area around the hotel.
If you are a city person and the only stars you normally see are the sun and moon, then the hotel’s elevated position provides clean night skies that will prove to be the ideal place to observe a delightful star-filled sky night after night.
"El Chorro" and the "Desfiladero de los Gaitanes" are only 30 minutes away in the area known as “El Chorro” has some beautiful reservoirs that go by the names; Chorro, Guadalhorce, Guadalteba or Gaitanejo where they can go canoeing or swimming.
The “Desfiladero de los Gaitanes” is a spectacular narrow gorge some 3 kilometers long and 300 meters high which in places is only 10 meters wide. It has a lot of caves along its route and there is a walkway that clings to the rock known as the Caminito del Rey (The King’s Way), which was built at the beginning of the XXth century.
This area is indeed a paradise for climbers. Visitors can delight in the spectacular views of the Nature Park and if they are lucky catch sight of some of the local vultures and their nests.
