Few hotels can beat the spectacular location of Las Nubes (“The Clouds”). This hotel is a modern house perched on the top of a hill with breathtaking views of the Marqués Valley and the River Tagus. Maria Sol and Carlos have taken advantage of this visual treasure to create a conservatory sitting room where you can enjoy a full moon or a sunrise. Lots of natural light, excellent interior design, neutral colours and space are the main interior décor elements, but nothing can compete with the views - in fact the hotel was recently rated in the press as having the number one view in Spain. The reception, lounge, dining room and games room are spacious and interesting. The hotel´s name is reflected in the clouds fresco painted on the lounge wall. The six guest rooms feature original headboards made with large black & white photographs with wooden frames. The combination of modern architecture and comfortable interior design provides a relaxing atmosphere. The suite, if available, is highly recommended. José offers his guests a selection of dishes for lunch or dinner.

Our Feedback
Rating: Excellent “The hotel was neat and the staff delightful. Bruno went out of his way to make our stay extraordinary. We had read someone else's comment that the 'pool was dirty,' and absolutely disagree. The pool itself was immaculate, and there was a skimmer right on hand for the couple of times that bugs needed to be removed. We would stay there again without hesitation. The most restful 6 nights in years!” Rating: Average “The photo of the view from a balcony leads one to believe that all rooms have balconies. We were given a room with a window and found that the only room with the view in the photo was actually a suite and was unique. The food and service in the restaurant was poor, but we met the new manager who told us he wanted to improve the parts which I have mentioned and had only just started there a month ago; I am sure he will be able to improve things. They have a problem with water. It was brown and sulphurous smelling and left a smell in the bathroom - they seem to be aware of this. Also, the road leading throught the olive groves out of the village to the hotel starts of well with tarmac surface, but ends in at least a few kilometres of rough stony road. We were driving a suitable vehicle, but we also own a low sports car and would have had a problem had we been driving that! It would also be helpful to describe the length of drive in Kms rather than minutes. Otherwise, the hotel needs a little loving care, but the position and views are undoubtedly the best thing about it. The reception staff and manager were exceptionally helpful and courteous.”
