“The hotel was absolutely perfect. However, someone (I do not know whether it was the hotel or Inns of Spain) made a mistake with our reservation. We requested a suite, but when we arrived we found that the hotel had on record that we wanted a regular room. Fortunately, a suite was available, so everything worked out well.”

“Very new hotel run by some very charming people. The owner has a lot of pride in his place and it shows. Truely outstanding room, we had one with a huge jacuzzi tub in it.The bathroom was all stone (travertine and granite). The small balcony had a veiw of the Med. The hotel was awesome but the town really sucks. I got sick from eating at the Playa de "something" on the beachfront. Bring your own food and lots of wine and you might enjoy this godforsaken little town with its tiny beach and rain. Great hotel though. ”

“We really enoyed the hotel. It was a pity they did not have a restaurant for evening meal as the breakfast was excellent. The village setting was amazing. ”

“Staff very friendly and welcoming, and the suite we had, room 11, is perfect. For us personally, maybe we might prefer somewhere less chic, nevertheless an excellent place to stay and Agua Amargua, which we have known for over twenty years, has grown but retains its charm, at least in the quiet week we were there at end May. ”

“Lovely place, comfortable, kind staff, excellent breakfast. You probably need to warn people that no one speaks any English - why should they indeed, but you tend to expect that they will so if you don't speak any Spanish it can be problematic! It would be great too if they intend to offer meals other than breakfast at some stage as the local restaurants are limited. ”

“The rooms are lovely and the hotel itself very stylish. Breakfast is excellent. My only negative comments would be that they charge extra to use their gym facilities (which are nothing special) and these were not available when we stayed over Easter. ”
