Javier Andrés Cifré enthusiastically runs this country house built on the ruins of the Bernadós monastery and surrounded by beautiful gardens lying over the walls of Játiva´s Castle. The terraced gardens have orange trees and 700 newly planted palm trees. There are archaeological remains (Iberian and Roman shards, Moorish fortifications, Cistercian monastery walls) and a Moorish irrigation system that has provided water since the 12th century. The decor combines classic and modern features, using natural materials, old tiles, antique furniture and no pictures, because the windows frame a picture in themselves. There is a swimming pool in one of the gardens from which guests can enjoy the magnificent views of the Castle. The views over the city are spectacular. Guests can also enjoy a sauna and Jacuzzi. Traditional cuisine cooked with quality ingredients is served in the cosy restaurant and both half and full board may be taken. Eating outside on the patio is a dream - candles are placed all around and it is a magical setting. The Hosteria is located 56 km from Valencia and has eleven double rooms.
