The location is at the southernmost end of Catalonia, in the county of Montsia, municipality of Alcanar. It borders the province of Castellon in the community of Valencia. This country house from the 19th century was once the summer residence of Alfonso XII, located in the Oasis of Alcanar, to the south of Tarragona and only 200 metres from the beach. The finca still has the long wall which gives the inn its name and which radiates heat to the thousands of orange trees in the garden. The hotel has eight spacious rooms with great views. The interior style is both modern and traditional with neutral colours, rattan furniture and gentle lighting. There is a wonderful lounging porch, complete with hammocks, with access to the garden and the two swimming pools. The hotel breakfast and light meals in the evening but there are lots of excellent seafood restaurants along the coast at Las Casas de Alcanar - about 5 minutes drive along the small coastroad - or a little longer if you take one of the complimentary bikes and ride to the village. The suite Alfonso XII has both a seaview and terrace and doubles numbers 3 and 4 also have terraces. All the suites have a big bed and the doubles either a double or twin beds.
