Mas Can Ros

This delightful new hotel, created from an original 14th century house with a sympathetic addition and renovation, has just fifteen guesrooms and two restaurants. There are three double standard rooms, a double with garden view, three double superior rooms, four double superior rooms with terrace (a little garden) a junior suite and four duplex suites with a little garden (these are ideal for families). The beds are king (although they can be separated into twin beds if you prefer). The rooms have minibar, safe, satellite television, direct phone, wi-fi and a cd player. In the countryside, and surrounded by ancient castles and cistercian monasteries, by olive trees, vines and almond trees, it has a lovely swimming pool and vineyards and a small horsewalking track as well as a lit tennis court. The hotel makes it own wine, vinegar, honey, jams and has a garden with fruit trees and vegetables. There are two dining rooms and a big terrace from which to enjoy the sunset. The salon has a fireplace and the library is full of classic texts. Each of the guestrooms (ensuite of course) is named after a vine from the region, and is decorated in a natural style in warm colours and with provincial antique furniture and comfortable beds. minibar, safe, satellite television and internet access. The restaurant serves a regional cuisine and offers wines from the Penedes region (approximately 30 euros pp). The manager and staff at the hotel are very helpful and some speak English.
