Tarragona is the capital of the Catalonian province of the same name. It is located along the Costa Dorada about 100 km from Barcelona.

The sandy beaches of the Costa Dorada, the many ancient ruins (the city’s history dates to Phoenician times), especially the well preserved Roman aqueduct and ampitheater as well as the Gothic Cathedral.
