Click to make a request for this hotel Click to view contact information Click to view larger photos for this hotel The Palace of San Benito is situated in the beautiful village of Cazalla de la Sierra, in the Sierra Norte of Seville, only 75 km. from the capital of Andalusia. Staying here gives one the opportunity to relax in an authentic Andalusian palace in natural surroundings, complete with the aromas, light, colour and perfect climate of this beautiful area - and close to Seville, Cordoba and Zafra. The palace was acquired by the present owners in 1997 and they have restored and renovated the palace in its original form and with furniture and artwork of the epoch, adding comfortable bathrooms and luxurious guest spaces and a special restaurant. The restaurant, under Chef Miguel Gamero, serves traditional Andalusian cuisine (it is necessary to reserve at least 24 hours in advance). The ten rooms, all uniquely named and decorated, offer a wonderful choice of accommodation. The Room of the King is a grand double room on the first floor with a balcony facing the Paseo del Moro complete with antiques from the time of Queen Isabella II. The Room of the Queen communicates with the Room of the King (making a comfortable suite). The Blue Room has a canopy bed in Toile de Jouie and the Room of Frederick Castet is filled with William Morris Arts and Crafts furniture (and through a 19th century iron gate accesses an intimate garden). The Frederick, El Infante, El Militar and Los Novios rooms on the lower floor also connect to a small private garden. There is a beautiful swimming pool in the garden. Full board is also available. Beautiful building, lovely bedroom with high ceiling and huge beds. Cool and tranquil courtyard with very comfortable sofas - didn't use pool - it looked a bit murky and in full view of diners. Well signposted and well-placed in village. Parking immediately outside in street. Helpful english-speaking Belgian student waiter. Poor dinner; average breakfast.

difficult to get to without a car. Had to walk, with baggage, over 1/4 mile from where bus let us off.
