Dalt Murada

In the heart of Palma, near the magnificant cathedral and within easy walking distance of Palma's many attractions is this restored 16th century mansion, newly opened as a small city hotel in 2001. There are just fourteen guest rooms that are beautifully decorated with antique furniture, gorgeous beds and large, modern bathrooms, most with jacuzzi. The rooms are spacious and airy and some have balconies overlooking the gardens. All rooms have minibar, telephone, television, hairdryer, bathrobes and safe boxes. Breakfast, which is included in the price, can be taken in the garden courtyard. A selection of DVDs are available for guests to watch in their rooms. There is no restaurant at this inn, but it is within easy walking distance of small local eating places - from tapas bars to elegant restaurants. While the location is excellent for walking around Palma, it is advisable not to bring a car-- it is easy to take a taxi from the airport (only a 15 minute drive) and to explore the town on foot. However, if you do bring a car, there are public parking lots within 5 minutes walk.
