Convent de la Missio

In the heart of the old town of Palma is the 17th century Convent de la Missio, next to the church of the same name, surrounded by narrow lanes and patio gardens and dedicated, in its day, to the training of missionaries and the formation of missions for the new world. It has been restored, using as much of the original materials as possible, into this extremely elegant and sophisticated little hotel with 8 double rooms, 4 junior suites and 2 suites. The decoration and furniture is in the Vanguardista style and great care has been taken with the aesthetics of the rooms, each element carefully thought out to create a warm and relaxing ambience. Clever use has been made of the large spaces in the former convent -- like the artgallery on a lower floor with an exhibition of paintings, sculpture, ceramics and photos. There is also a fantastic steam bath, jacuzzi and sauna on another lower floor. The restaurant Refectori offers a variety of creative gastronomic cuisine with a large wine menu.
