Posada La Plaza

This carefully restored XVI building is now rural hotel is in the heart of Canillas de Albaida, a small, traditional white village 3 km. from Competa in the Andalucian hills in Southern Spain. The hotel is in the central plaza of the this traditional Spanish village. The building is a blend of Moorish architecture, local craftsmanship and traditional decor, giving each room an authentic Spanish ambience but with every modern comfort including air conditioning, heating and satellite television. The hotel has just one suite and eight double or twin rooms, each with their own bathroom, and a small sitting/reading area plus a large roof terrace with a jacuzzi which has stunning views of the Sierra Almijara, Tejeda Natural Park, and the Mediterranean coast below. The restaurant serves Spanish cuisine, tapas and fine wines and uses fresh, local seasonal products (price for a 3 course dinner approximately 20 euros pp). A 2 night weekend break (bed and breakfast for two) plus a 3 course dinner on the evening of your choice for $169 euros plus tax. A 3 night stay, (on a bed and breakfast basis for two) plus a 3 course dinner on the evening of your choce is 219 euros plus tax. This is an excellent base for outdoor activities and enjoying the breathtaking scenery.
