|
Where |
Malaga is located in the Southern Province of Andalucia on the Mediterranean coast (the Costa del Sol). To the West is Marbella and the port of Cadiz and to the East the Granada and the Sierra Nevada mountains. |
|
When |
Malaga is popular year-round but should probably be avoided at the height of the summer when it gets very crowded. Spring and Fall are the most pleasant times to visit. It has a temperate climate and rarely gets very cold. |
|
Why |
Apart from the obvious appeal of the warm ocean and sandy beaches (and a spectacular marina) Malaga is presenting a bid to the European Union for the title of European Culture Capital in 2016. Because of this, much effort is being put into museums and galleries and cultural events in the town. The acclaimed Picasso Museum is fascinating. There is an imposing Baroque cathedral and a Moorish castle (that is now a Parador) that should be visited. |

Accommodation |
We are happy to offer our clients the Parador mentioned above – and another Parador with its own golf course. We also have several small hotels within a 30 km radius of Malaga, and many more in the surrounding small towns in the countryside. |
