Hotel Preciados is a new kind of hotel in the heart of Madrid. Larger than most of our offerings, yet with an intimate feeling, the hotel has 73 fully equipped spacious, modern rooms with complimentary minibar, safe, direct data line, 24-hour room service, laundry service, satellite and pay TV, double glazing, automatic shutters, pillow menu, hairdryer, robes, magnifying mirror, bathroom kit, and more. Some of the double superior rooms have a terrace and on the fifth floor the rooms have cathedral ceilings. For families there are communicating suites and junior suites. Several of our clients who have stayed here have been very happy with the amenities, location and friendly staff. Located between the Gran Via and Puerta del Sol, in the cultural, commercial and business heart of Spain's capital city, it is approximately a 1 km walk to the Royal Theatre and other attractions such as the Royal Palace, Cathedral, the Prado Museum, Plaza Mayor. The building that houses Hotel Preciados was built in 1881 on property owned by the Descalzas Reales, whose first owner was the Count of Romanones. The location is a one minute walk to the nearest Cortes Ingles. Now completely refurbished, this building on the corner of Preciados and Veneras streets combines 19th-century elegance and 21st-century progress, putting the latest in design and technology to work for its guests. Hotel Preciados's Café Varela Restaurant is located in the same place as the romantic Café Varela (1896-1959), which was a must for great writers of the time such as Miguel de Unamuno, the Machado brothers, Emilio Carrere and so many others. At the hotel's Café Varela Restaurant, you can enjoy a wide variety of meals prepared with high-quality products, as well as a select wine list. There is also a cocktail lounge/bar for the exclusive use of guests, as well as hotel parking, an exclusively non-smoking floor and executive floor, direct data and voice connections in each room. The hotel is offering a special for guests who book through Inns of Spain. If you book a double superior room they will put a bottle of Champagne and a fruit basket in your room. If you book a junior suite they will put a bottle of Champagne, fruit basket and bouquet of flowers in the room. Valet parking is available at 17 euros + tax night.
