Hotel Abalu

Abalu is situated on three floors of a building, very centrally located in a residential area in Madrid (near the Gran Via district and close to significant attractions, museums, shops and restaurants). A reception area and three suites are the latest additions made by the young and energetic owners. There are fourteen rooms, three of which have a balcony to the street. Each room is totally different to the others, a retro one, other minimalist, 50's, zen, pure white, baroque, new york... all designed by Luis Delgado for Abalu. Rooms are in a range of prices and sizes for the budget-minded traveler to the larger superior rooms and junior suites and the GL suite for those looking for more spacious and luxurious rooms with jacuzzi, hidromassage or integrated shower in the middle of the room. The GL (Grand Luxe) line are spacious and have cinema projector, mac computers and home cinema in suite for watching cinema, TV, music, hotel information, internet navigation and much more. The standard doubles may vary from 12 to 16 square metres, superior from 16 to 24 square meters, and junior suites from 25 square metres. The Beauty Bar and Los Turistas boutique are also available. One of the big advantages of this small hotel is its friendly owners and helpful young staff. Breakfast is served either in your room or in a central room near reception (complete with computer and free wi-fi). Note that all rooms are for two people only. Parking is nearby and is 20 euros/night - but it is much better not to have a car in this central area. One of the interior courtyards has been converted to a zen yard and five new junior suites have recently been finished - each with a jacuzzi or stone bathtube and shower and home theatre equipment.
