Where
The nation's capital, located in the center of Spain.
When
Madrid has a fairly temperate climate with warm, dry summers and fairly cool winters (it can drop below freesing midwinter). The city has many holidays not celebrated elsewhere in the country - in particular the Fiesta de San Isidro, with its bullfights, music and festivities. Madrid is always busy, but for the best weather we recommend spring and autumn.
Why
Madrid is a wonderfully vibrant city with exceptional museums, art galleries, shops, restaurants and activities. It also has a very good transportation system. Don’t miss the Palacio Real, the Prado, the Reina Sofia and the Thyssen-Bornemisza gallery.
Accommodation
We have many centrally located small-ish hotels in the centre and surrounding districts. Our hotels in Madrid range from the simple to the sophisticated, including several apart-hotels which are ideal for longer stays.
