Where

Jaen is in Andalucia, about 58 miles north of Granada.

When

Spring, summer and fall (although it can get busy in summer) In May there is an exceptionally good music festival.

Why

A town of significant historical significance, with  great monuments, museums and a wonderful cathedral built between the 16th and 18th centuries.  The Moorish Castle of Santa Catalina is today a Parador (which we are pleased to offer to our clients as a very special place to stay). Jaen is part of the Andalucian Renaissance Trail (Jaen-Baeza-Ubeda). The Cazorla Natural Park (Spain’s largest) should be visited (on foot, by horse, by bike, four wheel drive).

Accommodation

The Parador is probably the most impressive place to stay in town, and we also have several small, special hotels in the surrounding area and in Baeza and Ubeda.
