Family Info

The hotel doesn't have family rooms, but in some rooms an extra child bed (up to 7 years) may be added. Baby cribs are free. For a family, the hotel has two rooms next to each other – one with matrimonial bed and one with twin beds.

The restaurant is only open to guests. Traditional, 35€. Closed on Sunday and Monday (informal dinner still available)

Please note that this little hotel does not have extra beds in high season (July and August). The maximum number of people over this period per room is 2. Closed over Christmas.

Travel the villages of the Alpujarra, the botanical gardens of the Cortijuela. Parapenting, rafting, horseriding, 4x4, skiing. From Granada to the hotel by taxi costs approx. 12 euros. The hotel is about 1.5 km. from the centre of Monachil and there is a bus from there into Granada. If you are driving from the hotel into Granada, be very sure once you are on the Ronda Sur NOT to miss your turning into the centre of Granada. If you do, it is a long way (going in the wrong direction) before you can turn and go back. The hotel has arrangement with local ski hills for packages: these are ALCAZABA, MULHACEN and VELETA.

Deposit: No Deposit Required.

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled at least 7 days before reservation, no hotel penalty. If cancelled 7 days or less before reservation penalty equal to cost of one night per room booked. In case of no-show, 100% of complete stay charged. A 15 euros cancellation fee per room booked will be charged by Inns of Spain on ANY reservations that are confirmed and then cancelled by the client. The Inns of Spain cancellation fee may be credited towards any future bookings within 12 months.

Patricia and Jose Manuel chose the dramatic landscapes of the Natural Park of Sierra Nevada in which to build this spectacular small hotel, which is sensitively incorporated into the countryside respecting nature in every way. The is a flowing swimming pool and more than 300 square metres of terraces from which to enjoy the lovely views. The textures in the hotel, and in the rooms, are rich with contrasting rough and smooth finishes-- Stone and ceramics, steel and crystal, tapestries and linens. Rooms have internet connection, television, telephone and a minibar. The decoration is a vibrant combination of regional and modern. The restaurant serves traditional recipes, that have been adapted to use produce of the area and there are special gastronomic days featuring special menus. Dinners are approximately 20 euros/person. Only 20 minutes from Sierra Nevada skiing and 20 minutes to the centre of Granada. The drive to the hotel from Monachil is up a steep, winding country road. The owners of Almunia del Valle will give you a map and directions of how to get into Granada; although it is not a long distance, it is easy to make mistakes once you are on the Ronda Sur road (which basically means South Roundabout route).
