Originally a Renaissance-style Palace built in the sixteenth century, and owned by a distinguished Spanish family, it is now a beautiful small hotel in an area of the Albaicin that is within walking distance of the Alhambra and the Generalife and close to the many bars and restaurants in the old quarter. Accessed from a typical Granada side-street, next to the river Darro, the house is arranged around a quadrangular patio with stone pillars and galleries. The guest rooms are arranged around the patio, along with the kitchen and dining room. There are five rooms, including one magnificent suite, all with ensuite bathrooms, ADSL internet, television, and a few with views of the Alhambra. The pretty garden and terraces include a small pool, an orchard, and lovely fragrent flowers throughout. Tapas available for lunch or dinner (approximate price of a light meal 20 euros). Note that parking is very difficult, if not impossible, in the Albaicin. You should definitely park at one of the lots in the main town--and the Puerta Real lot is closest-- and take a cab to the hotel, or walk (about ten minutes walk).
