La Malcontenta

Located in Palamós this delightful small hotel was completely restored in 2004. Close to Torre Mirona, with the nearby beach (playa de Castell), and in the green and hilly countryside of Baix Empordá, the hotel is beautifully surrounded by fields and pine forests, and only a short walk to the sea. In style, it is a pleasing mix of classic modern and traditional design. There are fourteen rooms of various styles (including doubles, junior suites, suites and bungalows) and all have heating and air conditioning, internet access, flat screen television (satellite), safe, minibar and hairdryer in the bathroom. The rooms are full of natural light thanks to the big windows, and are elegent and comfortable. According to legend, La Malcontenta was born from the love between a shepherd and a mermaid on a moonlit night - and the hotel takes its name from this romantic tale. The fine restaurant serves a regional cuisine and has an extensive winelist. There is also a bar/cafeteria offering more casual fare. The hotel offers 24 hour room service, garage, garden, outdoor swimming pool, sauna and living room with fireplace.
