Click to make a request for this hotel Click to view contact information Click to view larger photos for this hotel In the quiet Catalan Pyrenean village of Meranges (1550 metres altitude) Hotel Can Borrell provides a perfect resting place and base for excursions on foot or by car to the Lakes of Malnui, Estany Mal and Engorgs and to the peak of Puigpedros. The inn is in a 200 year old farmhouse with only eight guestrooms and a charming small restaurant which serves exceptional regional food. The rooms are simple and comfortable, two of which have a mezzanine floor with wonderful views of the valley. Can Borrell is lesss than 2 hours from Barcelona and 10 km. from Gerona. This inn is in a very rustic setting (complete with horses and cattle) and there is no air conditioning (but this is rarely necessary in the mountains). Click to make a request for this hotel

A very comforable room in a hotel full of character and which was in a truly stunning location, but we found the meals to be very overpriced and over-rated with no alternative restaurant/cafe in the area.
