El Moli de Siurana

This rural inn is located at the centre of Alt Empordà, close to the Costa Brava and Cap de Creus. The house is surrounded by 125 hectares of land (some used for farming) and there is a lovely tree-filled garden surrounding the house with evergreen oaks and laurel trees on the banks of Siurana brook. Siurana d'Empordà is a little agricultural village with 120 inhabitants. It is surrounded by crops, farmhouses, small brooks, a fountain and a small waterfall near El Molí. Maria (who speaks English and French) and Josep, the owners, are enthusiastic hosts and will be very happy to help you plan your days in the area. There are seven, simply decorated guest rooms, all with their own bathroom, and one has its own terrace and three have a balcony. The superior rooms have an independent entrance. One of the rooms can accommodate two adults and two children comfortably. The bedrooms are bright with tile floors and rustic elements, and have a bathroom with shower. Most of the rooms have a kingsize bed. There is a dining room where Catalan cuisine is made from fresh local farm products or, if you feel like a small drive, the world-famous restaurant El Bulli is just a 30 minute drive away. IMPORTANT NOTE: 4 night minimum stay in high season. There is a special biking package (not available 15 July to 15 September) that includes pick-up from Girona airport or Figueres train station, provision of two bikes, five nights half board in a double room. There are many interesting biking routes from the hotel.This is a pretty inn with spacious, basic rooms, in a quiet area. Half board prices available upon request.
