Chalet de Golf

At the foot of La Molina winter resort this building of wood and slate is next to the Royal de la Cerdanya golf club and its rooms overlook the 18th hole. The location is a few kilometres from Puigcerda and about a ninety minute drive from Barcelona. The hotel is spacious and is flooded with natural light through the big windows. The original Hotel Chalet del Golf was built in 1948 in the heart of the Cerdanya Valley, in what was then one of the most prestigious residential areas. It soon became an institution in the Cerdanya and was frequented by personalities of Catalan high society and the early pioneers of golf. Early in 2003 the hotel was totally rebuilt into a first class small hotel with 17 fully equipped rooms, carpeted with a well-know Italian carpet, designer furniture, fine linen and large terraces. The common lounge is one of the finest, most welcoming rooms in the hotel, with an elegant fireplace and important artworks. There are also bungalows suitable for two or four with their own terrace or small outdoor seating area right in front of the golf course. There is a bar with terrace that offers snacks right on the golf course, a sauna and massage room, racquet ball court and swimming pool. The restaurant offers typical dishes from the Cerdanya region, directed by Josep Maria Boix.
