La Fructuosa

Gaucin is a beautiful white mountain village, part of the Serranía de Ronda. The Hotel Rural La Fructuosa is in the centre of the village, offering a calm, cozy atmosphere and spectacular views of Gibraltar and Morocco from each of the five large and comfortable rooms and its terraces. An ancient wine press has been preserved, and is now the setting for the breakfast room. Breakfast also may be served on the terrace on the ground floor. Each of the five room in La Fructuosa has its own style: all are spacious and comfortable, with private bath (jacuzzi in four of them and a large shower in the last one). The name of each of the rooms is related to the local culture or the history of the house: Doña Concha, Pensión, Albero, Almagra and Soberao. All of the rooms enjoy the spectacular views that have made Gaucín famous. From the windows it is possible to see at the same time two continents, three countries, the Mediterranean sea and the Atlantic Ocean. The restaurant has terracotta floors, white-painted walls and a well-preserved wine press system. The dining-room extends naturally into the patio where you can enjoy the pergola and the views over Africa and Gibraltar. The cuisine has a strong mediterranean accent, featuring local products like the iberic pork, olive oil and sweet wines. The result is true spanish and andalucian dishes with a delicate touch of imagination and creativity. There are restaurants in the vicinity.
