Its sculpted portal and old door invite you to enter and admire the magnificent views over the Huecar River Gorge, which the Posada´s privileged location offers to its guests. Once inside you find a multi-levelled house with staircases leading up and down, twisting and turning, with lots of fascinating nooks and crannies. The rooms are comfortably furnished in keeping with the architectural features of the building. Some of the rooms have balconies from which you can enjoy the splendid views. In its welcoming little restaurant, with breathtaking views, home-made tapas & other typical regional dishes are served. There are lots of interesting walks to take around the old city--and this gem of a hotel provides a perfect base. There is arguably the best museum of Abstract Art in the world at Cuenca. The Posada de San Jose is located in heart of old Cuenca and has 21 double rooms. Parking is difficult in the old town. Try to get to the hotel, unload your bags and the reception desk will direct you to a parking spot. Click to make a request for this hotel
