Thre are interconnecting double room and suites for families. Dating from the 17th century and with additions and refurbishments over the years, it was originally the home of the Dukes of Medinaceli who were important citizens in the Port of Santa Maria. The palace was also once the home of the Terry family (Brandy Bodega). The superb restaurant Queen Isabel, has a cuisine that focuses on the seafood and fish of the area, and also Andalusian traditional gastronomy, and is presided over by chef Pedro ONeale. Although it is located in the centre of the city, the hotel has a private, peaceful feel to it as it is surrounded by beautiful gardens with very old trees, a small swimming pool, private parking, and sauna as well as a bar and exquisite restaurant. The town of El Puerto de Santa Maria is fascinating and provides a good chance to experience tje seaside town, with its many inexpensive and casual seafood restaurants. We had wonderful rooms and a really delicious dinner in the restaurant. The park like setting was perfect for our stay and there is a large, secure parking area. The whole hotel has great historical character.

The rooms were perfect and very stylish. Unfortunately the restaurant was empty and the meal rather disappointed.

it's one of the best hotels we've stayed in. friendly staff and very close to the town of puerta de santa maria. what would make us go back however, is the fact that, due to flight cancellations etc. basically a horrenduous trip which made us miss our first night reservation, they were so cool about it and didn't charge us! we then stayed an extra night to make up for it! we would go back to this hotel in a second
